INFORMATION - Plaque and tartar
Plaque and tartar are a major problem in both dogs and cats. With the modification of their lifestyle and their diet, one frequently runs into one
reduced oral hygiene, with accumulation of food debris inside the mouth, increased microbial load and consequent formation of plaque and tartar. While the plaque can be more or less
easily dissolved or reduced, tartar, a material by now consolidated because it is mineralized thanks to bacterial residues, can only be removed after scaling (cleaning the teeth under anesthesia) carried out by a specialist. Failure to solve these problems can be risky for the health of the animal, which can face much more serious problems such as gingivitis, odontostomatitis,
abscesses, complications to other organs. Prevention therefore plays a fundamental role in the health and well-being of the mouth of our animals.
Living in close contact with them represents a moment of very strong relationship and interaction that is made more pleasant if the breath is not smelly!
