SEPARATION ANXIETY - DOG
It is a very common behavioral pathology in animals of all breeds, sexes and ages. The dog affected by this problem is usually very attached to his human companion, he follows him everywhere, he cannot remain alone, so much so that he scratches or bites the doors that separate him from his human. If left alone, the dog can howl persistently to the bitter end, destroy objects or furniture, urinate or defecate in the house. Usually the cause of this pathology is an altered relationship between dog and man, while the predisposing factors are attributable to difficult events in childhood (e.g. early separation from mother and siblings), or in severe trauma (e.g. severe thunderstorm) or in phobias.
