Christmas, as usual, is spent with the family and if our pets are among the dearest affections, during the holidays we must have some extra attention for them too.
Dogs and cats are in all respects members of our families and this time of year is the right opportunity to show them even more affection, love and gratitude.
DOGS, CATS AND… THE CHRISTMAS TABLE!
A little break from the usual diet can be granted, but be careful do not give our pet any leftovers. It is true that some foods are not dangerous, but others should be avoided especially if they are very seasoned, spicy, spicy or too sweet.
RELAXATION, HYGIENE AND BEAUTY
If during the days of the celebrations we extend our stay at the table and spend more carefree time with friends and relatives, let's not forget the daily routine walk with our dog, as well as the cleaning of the legs , brushing of the hair.
Dogs and cats can suffer the stress related to the confusion that could reign in our homes during the holidays. We try to don't overturn their habits too much, making them spend their days as similar as possible to those they are used to. If we foresee the visit of friends and relatives, let us allow them to rest leaving them in their usual way relaxation area (kennel, pillow, blanket) or offering him the opportunity to stay in a separate room, perhaps with the door ajar to allow him to move.
If for us fireworks and firecrackers they are a festive habit, for our dogs and cats they are a real nightmare. Every year, thousands of animals are traumatized or run away disoriented and afraid. During the barrels we try not to leave our furry ones alone and unattended. Let's reassure them showing a serene attitude, we close the windows and raise the volume of the TV a little to cover the external noises.
This is also a good time for a good bath! Whether it is in grooming or at home, it will be used to present our pet in perfect shape at festive appointments, a bit like we do by dressing and preparing ourselves at best.
If we have more free time, let's take advantage of it clean the rooms of the house dedicated to our pet and its accessories in a more thorough way: kennel, pillows, blankets, bowls, scratching posts, games.
ATTENTION TO THE DECORATIONS!
When we decorate our home, we pay attention to how we set up the decorations - plus a strong attraction for our furry ones - which could be dangerous. We try to avoid glass objects or lighted candles within their reach and fix the Christmas tree well. Also pay attention to the electric cables of the lights and to ribbons, bows and hooks that can be swallowed.
Our pet may want to go to the toilet right next to our Christmas tree. How can we prevent? Our advice is to use a natural product and safe useful in case of marking, to keep it away without causing damage.
WHAT DO WE PUT UNDER THE CHRISTMAS TREE?
It can be nice to unwrap some packets for our pets too. If you have not yet chosen what to put under the Christmas tree for your dog, here are some ideas: a new kennel, a brush, a toy, a useful accessory, a snack or some product for its care ... even to give to someone we know who has a pet.
First di make a puppy a gift, we must have the approval of those who will receive it and above all be sure that they can take care of it in the right way. Too often the animals received at Christmas are then abandoned in the summer, when the initial enthusiasm fades and people do not know who to leave them to to leave for the holidays.
Remember: the best gift for your dog or cat is… your time!
Celebrate with your four-legged friends, take care of them and give them natural and safe products, for a peaceful Christmas, respecting animals and nature!
If we have old blankets and a chance to buy some food, we can make a donation to a kennel, the four-legged guests will be grateful to us. A small gesture can be a big help!
